Mobile solutions specialist Cellhire has agreed a strategic partnership with leading provider China Mobile and has opened an office in Beijing. Cellhire is the first UK operator to forge a direct reseller relationship with China Mobile and the partnership is a major coup for the York based provider.
The resultant offering is compelling for travellers to China on business or for visitors to the Olympic Games; Cellhire can now offer genuine China-wide coverage as well as substantial cost savings.
As an example, a client travelling to China for a fortnight and using a Cellhire handset / SIM card for just 30 minutes of calls a day (usage split evenly between calls to UK, within China and incoming) would save £240 when compared to the International Traveller Service currently on offer from the UK’s leading network. There’s no minimum call spend and English voicemail is activated upon arrival in China.
The opening of the Beijing office means that Cellhire can support their new service locally, addressing any issues that may arise, both quickly and efficiently. Clients can therefore focus on conducting business without having to worry about the reliability of their communication. A local presence will also be highly beneficial in supporting visitors to next years Olympic Games.
Tim Williams, Chairman and Chief Executive of Cellhire comments: “China’s economy is booming as are the opportunities for UK companies wishing to trade in Eastern Asia. Historically, communication in China has been both unreliable and expensive. Our partnership with China Mobile alleviates both problems. We’re very excited about the opportunities ahead.”
