Cellhire recently joined the tsunami disaster relief efforts in Southern Asia and Eastern Africa by contributing to the Gift in Kind Program. Cellhire provided the Red Cross with long term satellite, GSM and GPRS voice/data solutions, allowing them to stay connected throughout the nine affected countries and other remote areas of the operation.
Currently, the main focus of the Red Cross is on the tsunami relief as they are positioned throughout the region helping victims of the disaster. Providing mobile solutions that will work in the most remote regions of the disaster area will have a significant, positive impact on their efforts.
