Mobile solutions specialist Cellhire has put together a great deal for customers planning to travel to the Olympic Games this summer. As well the best rental and airtime package in the marketplace, customers also receive exclusive Olympic content on their handsets.

Cellhire is the first UK operator to forge a direct reseller relationship with China Mobile and the partnership is a major coup for the York based provider. As a result, Cellhire can now offer genuine China-wide coverage as well as substantial cost savings.

As an example, a client travelling to China for a fortnight and using a Cellhire handset / SIM card for just 30 minutes of calls a day* would save £240 when compared to the International Traveller Service currently on offer from the UK’s leading network. There’s no minimum call spend and English voicemail is activated upon arrival in China.

The addition of exclusive Beijing software on each handset represents a really useful value-add. The handy city guide has information on stadia and venues as well as restaurants, bar and other tourist attractions. And for those clients struggling with the local dialect, their handsets will be able to ‘say’ over 300 useful phrases, in addition to accessing a 24/7 ‘real time’ interpretation service.

Finally, the opening of the Beijing office means that Cellhire can support their new services locally, addressing any issues that may arise, both quickly and efficiently.

Matt Bennett, Managing Director of Cellhire comments: “Visiting China may be an onerous prospect for a lot of travellers. Our solution makes it a lot less daunting – we keep people connected for less, help them find their way around the city and stop them becoming ‘lost in translation’.
